NOW is the time to get your money right!!!!
We are well on our way into the new year. And while most of us are hitting a gym or trying something new, there is yet another great way to get your priorities in check. Money. We all need it. We all want more of it. The more financially secure you are, the less stress you have. Here are a few tips that may help you to get your money game in order:
Skimp on the take out lunches:
$7 to $10 dollars a day can add up. on average of $225 a month! that is a car or student loan payment. you can make a homemade lunch and cut your expenses up to 50% also, if you pick more healthier food unlike the process food that is usually made with takeout, you will be eating wiser!
Cut down the shopping
I know, I know. it sounds insane. We love to shop!! what to do now! but you do not have to buy the store every time you get paid. if you like to shop. limit it to once a month and back off the name brands if possible. there are great knock offs made these days. oh! what will my friends say? well, when they are worried that they are putting themselves in debt. You will be seeing your bank account grow!
Make a "blessing" fund
When ever something good has happen to you. put a nickel or a quarter in a jar. also write on a little post-it the thing that was good. At the end of the year, deposit a portion into the bank and use a portion to give something to someone. it could be to the homeless, a meal for an elderly neighbor. However, this is a wonderful way of "paying it forward" spreading good energy and increasing the cash flow!!!!
Do your own nails and hair
I'm asking for a lot. I know its a big deal to do this. But if you just took 2 months. You would save at least $500. There are wigs that are really nice! and with the natural hair care craze, you can easily wash n go. Please check out eBay for artificial nails. There are so many nice ones that you can glue on and they look very professional!
Give yourself a money diet!
During the week. Try to spend half of what you would usually spend during the week. if you can help it. try not to spend more than 3 dollars a day (if you have kids of course that is not possible)
so there you have it! just a few tips that could save you tons of money! but take the time to find ways to save money! you don't know how much your bank account will thank you!
